Planet Vehicle Moves to Me-TV in Washington, DC

logo_wjla_web-1Automotive reality show Planet Vehicle is moving its program from News Channel 8 to Me-TV on WJLA’s digital channel in Washington, DC. Planet Vehicle debuts on Me-TV Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 10AM. Alvin Jones, executive producer and host, expressed his excitement with the new broadcast home.  “We have had a great strategic partnership with Allbritton Communications Company on News Channel 8. Now that they have teamed with Me-TV viewers who do not have cable now also have the opportunity to enjoy Planet Vehicle.

WJLA-TV7 launched Me-TV on March 1 and can be seen over-the-air on channel 7.2. “We are thrilled to be joining the Me-TV team,” said Bill Lord, General Manager of WJLA. “Me-TV has a great library of all time television hit shows and we are very excited to offer these legendary programs to our audience.” This is the newest affiliate to join The Me-TV Network, that now has clearance in each of the top ten television markets in the country. Me-TV, memorable entertainment television, launched nationally in December 2010, is owned and operated by Me-TV National Limited Partnership and distributed by MGM Television.

Planet Vehicle, brainchild of Washington Automotive Press Association president emeritus Alvin Jones, provides automotive content that includes new car reviews, lifestyle features, and provides the latest in safety, technology, and innovation.

Alvin describes the purpose of Planet Vehicle, “The automobile provides more than just transportation. It’s an integral part of a person’s lifestyle.  It’s the second largest household purchase. Our job is to make sure we present content that helps the buyer make an informed purchasing decision. We’re a reality show about automobiles.”
