Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial on August 28, 2011

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial was originally scheduled to be dedicated on August 28, 2011, 48 years after Dr King’s speech during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. The dedication was postponed due to Hurricane Irene and concern for people’s safety.

Miraculously that day the sun shone brightly. Planet Vehicle was at the memorial to record that day and the people who shared that historic moment.
